Weekly Inspiration- Colossians 3:23-24

Happy Wednesday! This week’s Wardrobe Wednesday comes from Colossians 3:23-24-

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.”

Lately, it has been raining in the mornings here in Houston. When it rains, it is so hard for me to get out of bed and get ready. I dream about staying in bed literally all day (which I could never do anyways), watching netflix, or reading a good book. Needless to say when it rains- I do not want to get up. Thankfully, I have a job that I absolutely love, but that doesn’t mean that some days I don’t want to go. A long time ago, I was at a church service where it was said that “Every day is a part of your story & a small piece of God’s plan for your life.” This little sentence of knowledge has always stayed with me. No matter where I go or who I meet- I always try to figure out how they fit into my life. When I get a new job, or meet new people- I am always piecing together what it is I’m supposed to be learning from that situation. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason and nothing meaningful ever goes unnoticed.

This week, my challenge for you is to strive to have the same mindset as above. Go into work, or anywhere that you’re going, not with a heavy heart, but go willingly knowing that you being there is part of God’s plan for your life. Whether you’re going to a job you’ve been at for 5 years, a new job, or are simply running errands because you’re a stay at home mom- know that everything you do has a purpose. You never know who you’re going to meet or the experiences you’re going to encounter by doing what you’re supposed to be doing.

Until next time!
