Happy Wednesday! This week’s Wardrobe Wednesday comes from James 4:6-
“..God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”
Humble is defined in the dictionary as “having or showing a modest estimate of ones own importance”. Being humble is talked about throughout the bible many times as something we should all strive to be in our everyday lives. Acting as a humble person doesn’t mean that you aren’t proud of yourself or your accomplishments. Being humble only means that instead of feeling the need to talk about all of things you have accomplished thus far, you are thankful enough to know that God’s grace has gotten you to where you are. Humbleness is something that people will notice more than someone boasting about their lives on a regular basis.
This week, my challenge for you is to write down some of your greatest accomplishments so far this year. Then, thank God for each and every one of them. Reflect back on not only how you accomplished these things, but also how each situation played out & got you to where you are today. It’s so amazing to look back and realize that you now have some of the things that you have prayed for in the past.
