Weekly Inspiration- Deuteronomy 5:33

Happy Wednesday! This week’s Wardrobe Wednesday comes from Deuteronomy 5:33-

“Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper ad prolong your days in the land that you will possess.”

Technology is becoming more & more advanced on a daily basis. Engineers create amazing things every day and google has become some people’s personal bibles. Our world is changing and more and more people are deciding to live how they want, by their rules with no repercussions.  While all of this knowledge & freedom is great and such a blessing to have, it is also very dangerous. Modern day society is full of distractions & things that distract many from reaching all of the amazing potential that God has placed inside of them. Deuteronomy 5 is the chapter where God tells Moses of the 10 commandments. The 10 commandments were 10 essential rules to live by and follow on a daily basis.  In verse 32 God says “So be careful to do what the Lord has commanded you to do”. It is after this that verse 33 then say what is written above.

God has so many things planned for our lives, we just have to be obedient & have faith in order to receive them. With all the things that we have access to, it’s  very easy to get distracted & feel that  our personal plans that we have for ourselves are better, easier, or simply make more since. Many times, our personal agendas seem like a better idea . My challenge for you for the rest of this week is to write this bible verse on a sticky note & place it somewhere that you will see it everyday for the next week. Use it as a reminder that God wants us to walk in obedience so that we can receive all of the great things he has for us. Remember that obedience, faith, & determination are the recipe to a life of happiness & fulfillment.

Until next time!
