We’ve been keeping a little secret..and it’s that we are moving! We have known we were moving for a few months not but it didn’t really feel real until earlier this week when we had our movers & car pick ups scheduled! When we initially moved to Chicago we knew that we would not be here for a long time and after two years I’m both happy & excited that it’s finally time to go. We are trading in snowy winters for hot summers…because we are moving to Louisiana!
It’s honestly very bittersweet leaving Chicago- Ryan & I moved here when we were engaged and in the middle of planning a wedding, two new jobs and a lot of unknown. Since we have been here, we have gotten married, had a baby and are leaving with two (more) new jobs. It’s so crazy how much can change in such a little time. I am so grateful & blessed for the few years that we did live here but I am very happy to be heading back South!
Deciding to move (although we wanted to) was not an easy decision by far. It is very hard & takes a lot of planning moving across the country as it is, let along adding a 10 month old & a dog and two busy work schedules! But- we have prayed about this for a while now & know this is what we are supposed to be doing. We also are not going straight to Louisiana, but will be staying in Tx for a little bit to see some friends before we make our final way to our new “home” at the end of August. Either way, cheers to a new chapter!
