Life UPDATE: I got a new job! After being with a company that I LOVED for 5 years, I decided that it was time to switch things up a bit and go back to corporate. I landed a job with a Fortune 500 company here in Chicago doing Product Development..which is what I have been doing. It’s been a little over a month since I started & so good so far!
Going back to corporate was for SURE not an easy decision. With my first job being at A&F Home Office 9 years ago (I was lucky enough to get recruited straight from school), then going to some other retailers on the corporate side I was happy to have had a break from the in’s & out’s of Corporate America the last 5 years. I made some of the best relationships with all of my coworkers who are truly more like family. But, I kept having an “urge” that I just couldn’t shake off & I knew it was time for a change.
Some call it a “gut feeling”, I’ve always called it an urge because I literally can’t shake the feeling- no matter how hard I try. I had no idea why I was feeling that I needed to try something new, but I was assured when the opportunity came that it was the right decision. I can finally call myself a “corporate gal” again and even had a reason to buy a few more blazers (haha). Landing this job was not easy, so I will be sure to share all the interview deets that helped me along the way!
