Weekly Inspiration- Obadiah 1:15

Happy Wednesday! This week’s Wardrobe Wednesday comes from Obadiah 1:15-

“The day of the Lord is near for all nations. As you have done, it will be done to you; your deeds will return upon your own head.”

Karma is defined in the dictionary as “the force created by a person’s actions that some people believe causes good or bad things to happen to that person.” Growing up, I was always told by others around me to watch how I treated people and to treat everyone with love & kindness. As I grew older, I realized how important this simple task was. Not only is the act of treating others well in the bible multiple times, it is a simple principle that we will be judged upon one day by God.

This verse says it clear- “your deeds will return upon your own head.”  Treating other people well will not only bless you in the long run, but will be a physical confirmation of God’s love & grace shining through you! Like how amazing is that- the way you treat others could be the reason a stranger comes up to you, asking why you’re always so loving, giving, etc. which could be an open door to speak to someone about Jesus! This week, my challenge for you is to really try to realize how you treat others around you. Pay close attention to not only what you say to people, but also how you react with them. Are you being friendly, or are you being meaninglessly rude because you’re sleepy? Are you being understanding, or are you being judgmental to others around you because the way they choose to do things or live is not something you agree with? Remember that your job on this earth as a Christian is to spread love to anyone & everyone. Our jobs are to treat others in a way that shows how God loves us all so much.

Until next time!
