Happy late Easter! Easter has & will always be my favorite holiday for obvious reasons! I remember getting ready for Easter as a kid- picking out my Easter basket, making sure I had a new cute Easter outfit & then headed to church. I loved all the joy around on Resurrection Sunday & it’s been my favorite holiday since. As I got older, I became aware of the whole “White come back out on Easter” rule (literally silliest thing ever), and even have learned to appreciate Lent, even though it is technically not a part of my religion. Regardless, it feels good to say Jesus is risen & spring is finally here!

Even in the Spring time, black is still a staple in my closet. I love how black makes almost anything look classy, from a t-shirt to a pair of jeans- ripped and all! I picked up these black joggers earlier this year & even though they will be going away soon, I had to wear them one more time! Velvet was one of those trends earlier this year that I just had to join in on. I am the first to say I am not a #Velvetfan, but these were a must. They are the perfect pair of pants for running errands on my “athleisure days“, or are really cute with a crop & some heels for a night with the girls.
Either way, wearing them one more before I kick them to the curb was a given. Although I am beyond excited to bring all of my white & spring colored clothing out of hibernation, there are some pieces that I transition into both seasons. These pair of pants obviously not due to the fact that Houston Heat & Velvet simply don’t mix. If I was in another climate though, these would for sure be hanging out a little bit longer. It’ts not goodbye for my velvet joggers though, but simply a “see you later”, as these will not be given away any time soon.
