Brands to love is all about amazing companies that give back to the community. For my first brand, I am excited to share with ya’ll the Women of Hope Ministry! I learned about this amazing organization through a previous co-worker of mine who spent some time with these women in Guatemala herself. When I launched this series, I knew I wanted to share with my readers brands that have amazing products that help others in need & Women of Hope is exactly this. Women of Hope: Who they are & why they started
Women of Hope is an amazing women’s ministry located in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. Founded in 2011, their mission is to “weave together business and discipleship into the fabric of Christian ministry” empowering impoverished and often uneducated artisans through wholesome employment, allowing them to lead productive and accomplished lives. The organization started with women designing jewelry in Tina & Giovanni’s home, the founders of WOH and in 2012, the Women of Hope center was opened. In 2014, the center had grown so much they needed to relocate to a new location, more than tripling their space. The new location is within another ministry which is a guest house that hosts mission teams from all over the US.
